We don’t do everything. We do three things. The scope of our programs is intentionally tight. There are plenty of organizations who provide parent mentors, guidance for services, IEP assistance, etc…So we leave that to them, and appreciate their service in those areas. You can find links to many of such organizations on our Resources page.
We do the three things below for ASD families in Georgia. That’s it, but it’s our part.
The Myles-A-Part Foundation hosts retreats for married couples raising kids with Autism. It’s a time to reconnect with your spouse in a relaxed environment free of interruptions. A time to meet new friends who understand the challenges of raising a child on the spectrum. It is absolutely FREE of charge, but it is a child-free weekend, so couples selected will need to arrange child care for that weekend. The retreats are held at the WinShape Retreat Center on the campus of Berry College in Georgia. The retreat is for Georgia residents only.

SINGLE PARENTS HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Myles-A-Part is pleased to partner during the Holidays with single parents in the Atlanta metro area who are raising children with Autism. Autism is a difficult condition to live with even in two-parent homes. The emotional and financial strain with only one parent shouldering the load can be overwhelming.
This program brings people from the community – families, small groups, groups of friends, individuals, etc. – alongside these special families at Christmas as sponsors.

We award scholarships to ASD families to help alleviate medical and therapy expenses not typically covered by Medicaid or insurance. Funds are not paid directly to families, but to medical professionals and vendors for services rendered.
We will be awarding (25) $500 summer scholarships this year. These scholarships will be awarded to the families with the greatest need. Those receiving NOW or COMP funding are not eligible. Details are HERE.
